Fostering community-led forest fire management in high altitude regions of Nepal
In the past two months, a surge of community-led forest fire management activities has taken place in the Dolakha and Sindhupalchowk districts. This initiative has united forest user groups, local leaders, and women champions working together to create a more resilient future for our forests. ForestAction Nepal, the secretariat of the Alliance of Agriculture for Food (AAF) concluded a month-long journey "Organic Agriculture Awareness Campaign". The journey was inaugurated with press meet in Kathmandu on 21st April and journey itself started from 22nd April 2025. ForestAction Nepal has been actively engaged in promoting agroecology and sustainable agri-food system through improved practices and policies. ForestAction Nepal team conducts research and experiments in collaboration with local communities and supports Alliance of Agriculture for Food (AAF) for campaigning and policy advocacy works at local, provincial and federal levels.
